Handmade Fingerprint Wedding Bands, Do You Love it or Hate it?

Double Wrap Print Ring
A unique twist...
Though my wedding may still be a year or two away, it's never too early to get it all planned. Now my fiance' and I are by no means high maintenced so right away we knew that we were not going to spend a fortune on the rings. Yes, we are going to be wearing them for the rest of our lives, but a big showy ring is not what is important; it is what the ring symbolizes.
The band I've always envisioned was small, with a few little diamonds but not too flashy. My fiance', however, had a less simple time deciding what he wanted. Nothing was unique or special enough--that is, until we came across fingerprint wedding bands.
The band was simple, but instead of your average silver or gold solid ring, it had a fingerprint wrapping around the outside. The first thing my fiance' said was, "I like that." Even more special about these rings from a shop called Fabuluster on Etsy is that the fingerprint on the ring would be that of your partner's. It is like you are always carrying a piece of them with you--their finger wrapped around yours.
We both personally love the idea, and come wedding day, one of these rings(as well as my identity!) will more than likely rest upon my fiance's finger :]
These rings can be found on http://www.etsy.com/shop/fabuluster?section_id=6302600&page=1 if you would like to learn more. They come in various styles such as a whole finger wrap around, finger print, or with the prints on the inner part of the ring. You can also get family prints onto jewelry or even your dog's nose print if you're an animal lover!
Such a neat idea. Would you get bands like this? What do you think?

When I was looking for wedding bands recently, I too came across these rings. I really considered them but ended up with a simple band with diamonds. I do think they are awesome though!!!
Hmm, this is such an interesting idea! I'm not sure I would want one for a wedding band but I would definitely want one to wear on another finger with my husband's and childrens' fingerprints :) The only reason I wouldn't choose one for a wedding band is because I am already very fond of the one I wear now. I can see this idea really catching on. Welcome to HubPages!!
Wish I knew about these rings 4 months ago when we got married. I had a heck of a time finding a saying for my engraving. Thanks for sharing this!

Different - I've never seen this before. I am also looking for wedding rings and like the idea of anything unique.
I might take a look.
